Plastic Storage Tanks for Go-cart Gas

One of the most important parts to getting your Go-Cart to take off down the road after all the hard work putting it together from scratch is gas.

Housing that gas in the proper plastic gas storage tank is critical for long lasting uninterrupted fun. Plastic Storage Tanks that are made for holding gasoline come in a variety of sizes and can be attached anywhere on your go-cart.

These tanks come with a rugged plastic cap with a rubber ring for sealing. There should be either a plug on the bottom side where you will be able to install a plastic fitting for your gas tube or there will be a nipple you will be able to attach your hose to along with your clamp.

Inside of the tank there should be a screen over the outlet hole, if your gas tank is missing a metal screen filter, make sure you add an inline filter. When we make our rigs, we add inline filters to all of our gas lines before they get to the engines carburetor, setting up the supply lines this way ensures the gas is clean and contaminates are removed.

The lower the better is the motto when mounting the tank because of the weight, but if you are gravity feeding the gas to your go-cart engine, you will have to have it sitting higher than the engines carburetor. The gas tank that comes with a normal five or ten horse power engine is ok for a few laps, but to be able to cruise for hours, you will need a larger tank.

After market tanks for go-carts are vast, so the best way to reduce stress and ensure you have a tank that will fit is to have Your Plastic Storage tank in your initial designs for your go-cart based on purchasing a pre-made after market plastic storage tank for gas.
