Pink chandeliers are, in the minds of many, something reserved for little girls – and sometimes grown up women who seem to miss being little girls! But this isn’t quite fair. Really, you can get away with a lot more, in terms of the color of a chandelier, than you might think initially. Perhaps it has something to do with the way most people perceive chandeliers – as something which must have some sort of majestic quality to it, something serious – that must have clear crystals.
But cheer up! Your diningroom does not have to look like something from Buckingham Palace to justify hanging a chandelier in there – because your chandelier does not have to look like it came from the abovementioned location! Why not go for something fun, something less dressed to impress (or oppress, if you like)? And besides the fun factor, there is also the question of the overall color scheme in your home. If your decor is mainly dark and heavy, you may actually find that something like a pink crystal chandelier (it could be a Quoizel chandelier, or from another brand) will light up the room in a way that is much warmer, than if you were going with clear crystals. The clear ones are great – don’t get me wrong – but they can sometimes add a bit of coldness to a room, so take that into account, if you feel your room lacks a little warmth.
So yes – pink chandeliers are it! They add something warm, something humorous to a room – and also something feminine, of course. The ultimate expression of what I am talking about here, is found with an italian chandelier – or something in that style. They take the concept of colored crystals to the next level. All that equates to something which is a lot more useful and diverse than merely lighting for little girls.
