Many kids room paint ideas will contain some type of city-scape in their room idea. Some rooms can have a basic metropolis for a superhero room idea all the way to an elaborate futuristic digital world like in a Transformer’s style room idea. If you would like to go above and beyond and take your hard work to the next level with a very easy addition you can use a combination of glow in the dark spray paint and normal glow in the dark paint. So lets get started.
Painting a city-scape in your kids room paint idea in usually one of the last steps of the room design. Once you have painted the base color on the wall and before you start your city-scape is when you will add the glow in the dark spray paint. First you must determine where the horizon of your city-scape will be. Once you have determined approximately where the building tops will be you can start with the glow in the dark spray paint. What i find to work best is to hold the can approximately 8 to 10 inches away from the wall and add a light even coat that spans the length of the city-scape. You want the paint to start about half way up the buildings to about 4 to 8 inches above the top of the buildings. Depending on how large or small your building are. Once the paint has fully dried you can add your city. Painting over the glow in the dark paint will alleviate having too tape off your city and trying to add the glow in the dark paint afterwards.
Once you have painted your city you can use regular glow in the dark paint to paint the windows in your buildings to achieve a fun nighttime look to your city-scape. Glow in the dark spray paint and glow in the dark paint can add a fun and exciting aspect to your child’s room design.
